If you ask anyone to draw a cactus, they’ll most likely doodle an Opuntia. It’s a truly iconic genus and the inermis benefits from not having the irritating spines associated with other members of the group.

Watering: When the soil has thoroughly dried out – approximately once a week in the summer and once every 4 weeks in the winter.

Light: Bright or Sunny – ideal for a windowsill.
