Opuntia pailana
Opuntia pailana
Description
Opuntia pailana
An easy care sunworshipper, pop it on a windowsill and ignore it!
—
~*~Subtitle~*~
The name pailana is a reference to the sierra de la Paila in Coahuila, Mexico where it was discovered.
—
~*~Latin~*~
‘Prickly Pear’
—
~*~Why~*~
If you ask anyone to draw a cactus, they’ll most likely doodle an Opuntia. It’s a truly iconic genus and the inermis benefits from not having the irritating spines associated with other members of the group.
—
~*~How~*~
Watering: When the soil has thoroughly dried out – approximately once a week in the summer and once every 4 weeks in the winter.
Light: Bright or Sunny – ideal for a windowsill.
—
~*~Unique~*~
We work hard to provide a clear photograph and description of your chosen plant. However, all plants are unique and, whilst the pot size remains the same, there is always variation in size and shape from one plant to the next.
